Painted for gaming in the Tabletop Sketch Style
MORE GAMING MINIATURES!
This Monday I enjoyed a fun session painting Tabletop Miniatures for iFINITY. Recently I have found myself falling in love with painting tabletop miniatures again. These economical paint jobs are designed to be expressive at a distance proving that a miniature doesn’t have to be expensive to have impact.

Today I added a small but growing collection of Gaming Miniatures to our Gallery. Being a gamer myself, I believe that great enjoyment can be had from painting miniatures for gaming. Personally, I enjoy an expressive sketch style for the gaming models I paint for commission as well as my personal collection.
Painted in 2014 this project is still one of my favorites. A wonderfully posable robot kit by Antonio Piqui is the beginning for the piece. Other elements including a robotic paint dispenser were scratchbuilt. Check out the project log HERE
My first foray into the art of diorama. This idea lived in my head for many years ever since I painted the first versions of the models for the Privateer Press Studio. The canyon lands of the American south west are like a siren’s song to an Artist. They are ancient, lonely, and beautiful. The canyons remind me of my true scale in the world. They humble me with their scope through space and time. I love them for that reason.
This was the first bust I ever painted. He is a conversion of the popular “Tribe Chief Morrow” by Raffaele Picca.

This is an older piece painted in 2011. I fell in love with her and the subtle details achieved by the sculptor Yannick Henebo. I shifted the pose forward to reinforce the forward motion and added real feather fletching to the arrow. A tutorial of the feather work can be found HERE
